I manage to lose my current phone while travelling to work on the bus recently. I'm not entirely sure how it happened but one minute it was in my bag, and then the next minute, my GPS mobile was gone! I have searched everywhere but the last time I had my mobile phone was definitely on the bus. I have contacted my mobile phone company to cancel my SIM card so hopefully no one has made expensive calls with my phone prior to the cancellation. I guess I will have to rely on my home phone and email to communicate with everyone for now.

This incident has actually given me the opportunity to buy a new cheap mobile. I have wanted a new mobile phone for quite some time but have never actually needed a new one. I hope to find a mobile with many of the new features available such as a mobile browser, GPS system, mp3 player, and, my favourite, a mobile camera. I will stay with the same phone company as I am still on a mobile phone plan with them, but I might see if they will upgrade my plan with a free mobile phone and higher cap limit. I will ensure I do not lose this new mobile phone and will find out if I can track it remotely using the GPS system.

Uh Oh, Mortgage Rate Rise!

Our mortgage rate seems to have soared over the past year. It is becoming much more difficult to keep up with the repayments, and it looks like it might rise again soon! We've only had our home mortgage for the past couple of years so we really need to consider refinancing to find a better home loan to suit our financial situation. It will be hard to work out which mortgage rate types would be best for us but if we follow some mortgage rate tips and discuss our options with mortgage companies, it should put us on the right track.

Mid Year Sales of Joy!

With all the extensive sales currently in stores and online, I have been meaning to buy many pricey items I have wanted to buy for quite some time. I plan to purchase online rather than in store as it can be an exhausting experience with all the crowds brandishing their credit cards in the air. I will pay for my items with direct deposit bank transfers rather than paypal as I am yet to sign up with a paypal account. An electronic transfer will also mean I can purchase online from international websites using international bank transfers. I can also see exactly how much money I have available on my american express bank cards when using secure bank transfers and will not accidentally over spend.

Heaven = Tech

Avast ye landlubbers! Have I got a technologically advanced story for you? Yes.

It all started last week while I was fiddling with my brand new computer case, adding neon lights and super cooling systems. I was pretty impressed with my work so took a few photos and posted them online. Little did I know that I was entering myself into a computer building competition and had already collected many computer fans! I was so surprised when dozens of emails started pouring into my my inbox praising my computer case building skills, I should market this creation and make a pretty penny!

Although my case looks amazing, the contents of it leave a lot to be desired. I can barely play many of the new computer games around at the moment which is very annoying. My next mission will be to upgrade my computer system with a giant computer hard drive and, well, everything! It may take some time to save up for this upgrade but if luck is with me, my computer case will win the competition and i'll receive a whole new system as the prize, one can only hope!

I recently bought a new computer keyboard which has truly reshaped my game playing ability. It's a logitech G15 and has so many useful features I could spend hours listing them all. I was tempted to buy a new computer mouse too but I think the only problem with my current mouse is the mousepads I use. They're very old and have that terrible foam on the back which slowly disintegrates. I haven't been mousepad shopping in quite some time so I have no idea what to look for or how much they cost. Might visit a computer shop this weekend to check it out.

I've been using my laptop computers a lot lately - watching tv shows and movies on it. It certainly doesn't have the grandeur of my LCD tv with surround sound but it's handy to use when i'm not in tv viewing distance. I'll buy myself some computer headsets to use with it which should improve the sound greatly. These headsets will make my game playing far more exciting with the action right in my ear and I will also be able to communicate with team mates.

I really shouldn't complain about my current computer as it is perfectly fine, but there are just some aspect that really get under my skin, like the computer memory, it only has 256 MB of RAM which I find to be somewhat useless with the multiple applications I regularly run. I might just get a bit more RAM memory to keep me going until the super computer upgrade is finally within my budget. It may take months or even a year, but it will be well worth the wait!

Enough about my computer. I've also been drooling over computer printers lately. There are so many amazing models being released that i've already ordered a couple - one for my desktop PC and one for my laptop. They are both designed for different uses but the computer printer i'm the most excited to break out is specifically for use with my camera and produces some outstanding photo prints! They're as impressive as those printed professionally and will allow me to finally fill up my photo albums.

I have had my computer scanners tucked away in the cupboard for months now as I have had no means to print the photos I scan. I like to improve their appearance with Adobe Photoshop after scanning and then reprint them for my albums. My computer table has slowly been building up with documents and photos waiting to be scanned then printed, so I might actually get to clean the darn thing once my new gadgets arrive. I won't know myself when i'm able to rest an arm or two on the computer table!

To complete my setup once the elusive upgrade has arrived, I might buy a computer trolley rather than covering my entire desk with all the different peripherals and accessories. It sure will save a lot of space and keep things far more organised than my feeble attempts. There is a new discount computers shop that has opened up locally so i'll see how I go at bringing down the prices of all these items i'm after. I could convince them to give me a bulk computer discount since i'll be buying half their shop.

It's a waiting game it is!

Catch 22

Hello?? I said HELLO?

That was me yesterday. It seems my mobile phone is well and truly dead and i'm going to have to find myself a new phone and plan to return to the world of telecommunications. There are a lot of offers around at the moment but the mobile phone deal I have my heart set on is about to expire. I need to find a phone to contact the mobile shop to order this deal but my phone is dead! Catch 22 it seems. I might have to dash over to my neighbours house and borrow their phone or i'll be doomed to pay a small fortune for the phone and plan I want.

Should I?

There is a brilliant credit card deal currently available to new customers of this particular low rate card. I already have an online credit card but this deal looks too good to pass up! There is no annual fee in the first year, 0% balance transfer rates for 12 months and a free cash voucher! How could I resist such a deal?!

I have discussed this endlessly with my friends and they all agree it would be crazy not to contact the credit card company immediately and apply as soon as possible. My friend knows his applications too as he said recently, "for quick credit cards apply online" which I think is great advice and would provide me with a fast approval.

Having two credit cards will be very handy as I get to take advantage of all those wonderful interest free days! It will also allow me to use one card specifically for online purposes and the other for any other expenses. I will have to be wary of credit card debts though as it may be more difficult to keep track of all my spending.

How could anyone pass up a promotional offer such as this??

How Bizarre!

Contrary to popular belief, polar bear fur is actually clear! I was shocked too at first but became used to the idea once I discussed such a bizarre fact with my bank manager...he was setting up some bank transfers at the time.

It's always a tricky thing to find a bank manager who listens to you and understands your current situation. I was lucky enough to have found Gregory many years ago so have built up a friendship with him. Trust is so important when it comes to finances!

Gregory has organised some new bank accounts for my car and christmas savings. I could have set up these bank accounts online but I enjoy having a chat with him and hearing about his family porcupine. No doubt my next account will be dedicated to funding some sort of porcupine play gym as I shall be receiving the offspring of the aforementioned porcupine shortly.

Welcome!

Welcome to mylaw.com.au!
